The Human Development Association International (HUDAI Foundation), in partnership with the Türkiye-based Tivnikli Foundation, has provided emergency relief and financial assistance to communities affected by the devastating floods that hit parts of Ghana on June 29, 2026.

The humanitarian intervention, according to the foundations, is aimed at supporting families displaced by the floods and helping victims recover from the impact of the disaster.

Following reports of the flooding, the leadership of HUDAI Foundation mobilised its board of trustees to coordinate an emergency response programme to provide immediate support to affected individuals and families.

As part of the first phase of the intervention, the foundations have distributed 150 relief packages containing essential food items, clean water and sanitary supplies to flood victims.
The packages were accompanied by cash support to help beneficiaries meet urgent needs arising from the disaster.

The second phase of the initiative involves the distribution of direct financial assistance to an additional 180 victims. The foundations say the cash donations are intended to give affected families the flexibility to purchase necessities and begin rebuilding their livelihoods.

In a statement, HUDAI Foundation and Tivnikli Foundation expressed solidarity with the government and people of Ghana, describing the support as part of their commitment to standing with communities during times of crisis.

“We stand shoulder to shoulder with Ghana during this trial. It is our collective prayer that Almighty Allah grants fortitude to the affected families, restores what was lost, and continues to guide, bless, and protect the entire nation,” the foundations said.

The initiative is being supported by the management of the National Mosque Complex and Tinasco School, with the organisations pledging continued collaboration with local authorities to support long-term recovery efforts.

The foundations say they will continue monitoring the situation and exploring further interventions aimed at strengthening community resilience in flood-affected areas.
