Newly elected Chairman of the NPP-UK Branch, Andy Owusu, has expressed appreciation to members of his campaign team for their dedication and sacrifices which he says contributed significantly to his victory in the recently held election.

In a statement issued on Monday, August 10, 2026, in the United Kingdom, Mr Owusu commended the team for its strategic leadership, commitment and hard work throughout the campaign.

He particularly recognised Campaign Manager Douglas Osei-Appauh, Director for Strategy and Deputy Campaign Manager Eunice Acheampomaa, Head of Communications Alswel Annan, Head of Delegates Contact Alex “Onyameakoa” Amponsah and the other members who played various roles in the campaign.

Mr Owusu also expressed gratitude to his political advisers, including Afia Agyeiwaa, Ruth Siaw (Abaawa), Nana Yaw Acheampong and Samuel Bryan Buabeng, as well as his Chapter Chairperson, Rosemary Yaa Serwaa Bonsu.

He extended special appreciation to his adopted mother, Abigail Donkor, describing her love, prayers, encouragement and support as instrumental to his leadership journey.

“Mum, I am deeply grateful and so pleased that you are alive to witness this victory. Your love, prayers, encouragement and support have meant so much to me throughout this journey. This victory is not mine alone. It is yours too,” Mr Owusu said.

He added that the guidance, training, belief and constructive criticism from those who supported him had helped shape his leadership, pledging to honour their investment by leading with “wisdom, humility, courage, and integrity.”
