The National Service Authority (NSA) has outlined a seven-step process for prospective National Service Personnel (NSP) to complete their posting and validation before officially commencing their national service.

According to a post on Facebook shared by the Autority, the process requires personnel to check their postings online, print and endorse their appointment letters, book a validation appointment, complete the validation exercise and submit copies of their validated documents to the relevant offices.

Check posting and print appointment letter

The first step requires prospective personnel to log on to the official NSA website, gnsa.gov.gh, to check their posting details and access their Appointment/Posting Letter.

Personnel are expected to carefully review their posting information before proceeding to the next stage.

After confirming their posting, they must print the Appointment/Posting Letter and proceed to their assigned place of posting.

Obtain endorsement

At the assigned institution or organisation, personnel must submit the printed appointment letter to the appropriate authority for endorsement.

This may be the designated official, supervisor or other authorised person at the place of posting.

The endorsement is required before personnel can proceed with the online validation or registration process.

Book validation appointment

Once the appointment letter has been endorsed, personnel must log back into the NSA Portal to book an appointment for validation or registration.

They are required to select an available date, time and validation centre as directed by the portal.

Personnel are advised to pay close attention to the appointment details to ensure they report to the correct centre on the scheduled date.

Attend validation

On the appointed date, personnel must visit the validation centre selected through the portal.

They are expected to carry their endorsed Appointment/Posting Letter, together with any other identification or documents required by the NSA.

The Authority advises personnel to follow the specific instructions provided through the portal regarding documents and other requirements for the validation exercise.

Distribute validated documents

After successfully completing the validation process, personnel must ensure that copies of their validated documents are submitted to the appropriate offices.

One copy of the validated letter should be submitted to the place of posting, while another copy should be submitted to the District Office.

Personnel must retain the final copy for their personal records and future reference.

Report and begin national service

The final step is for personnel to return to their assigned place of posting after completing the required posting and validation procedures.

They can then formally report for duty and commence their national service.

Personnel are encouraged to complete each stage carefully and follow instructions provided through the official NSA portal to avoid delays in the validation and reporting process.
