Reverend Peter Kenneth Saah, Head Pastor of Gospel Faith Ministries in Accra, has called on Ghanaians to be patient with the government as it prepares gradually to fix the economy.
The clergyman in a New Year message through Ghana News Agency on Friday, said: "Even God himself took some time to create the world and everything in it, so what can a government do than to take time to put things in place?"
Rev. Saah said there was no need for anyone to push the government so hard in expectation of better things.
Rev. Saah asked Ghanaians, especially Christians, to pray for the government to enable it effectively govern the country.
He called on Christians to trust in God for their needs and advised colleague pastors to intensify efforts at propagating the gospel instead of chasing worldly things.
Rev Ishmael Deh, a Senior Pastor at the Church, called on Christians to love one another, be humble, shun evil, ensure peace and pray at all times.
He said: "As we enter 2010, we should show compassion towards one another, avoid vengeance and unite as Ghanaians".
