The Majority Leader in Parliament, Hon. Mahama Ayariga, has refuted claims that the Gomoa Central Member of Parliament Kwame Asare Obeng, popularly known as A Plus, has been removed from the Majority Caucus WhatsApp platform.
In a press statement issued on Saturday, 3rd May 2025, Mr Ayariga described the media report as entirely false and misleading, urging the public to disregard it completely.
The statement was in direct response to a publication by Ghana Web, which alleged that A Plus had been ejected from the caucus’s WhatsApp platform following a reported feud with Attorney Dr Dominic Ayine.

Mr Ayariga made it clear that no such decision had been made by the leadership of the Majority Caucus, stressing that A Plus remains a full member and continues to have access to the official communication channels of the caucus.
“For the avoidance of doubt, Hon. Kwame Asare Obeng… remains a full member of the Majority Caucus in Parliament and continues to be on the official Majority Caucus WhatsApp platform,” the statement read.
The Majority Leader reaffirmed the unity and focus of the caucus, stating that the group remains committed to its responsibilities in Parliament and is not distracted by unsubstantiated reports.
The statement concluded with a call on GhanaWeb to retract the publication and issue a correction to prevent further spread of misinformation.
