Academic City University has welcomed about 110 students from Tetr College of Business, as part of its efforts to strengthen global engagement and internationalisation
This initiative confirms Academic City’s growing reputation as a vibrant learning hub in Africa and reflects the strong connection being built between local higher education and global academic networks.

The students, who represent more than 40 nationalities, are drawn from one of the world’s most innovative experiential business schools.
They will be hosted on the Academic City campus for the entire upcoming semester. The programme will blend classroom sessions, hands-on experiential, cultural and business immersions across Ghana.
Tetr College of Business is known for its “learn business by doing business” approach. In this programme, students can gain hands-on entrepreneurial experience by building real ventures across different continents.

It combines practical workshops, cultural immersion, mentorship from global industry experts and opportunities for students to launch real businesses in various markets.
Across different regions, students are building and scaling diverse ventures. In Dubai, they operate dropshipping businesses; in the USA, they are launching technology startups; and in Argentina, they are developing sustainability-focused enterprises.

Collectively, these student-led businesses have generated an estimated $500,000 in revenue across markets including Dubai, India, Singapore and Malaysia.
In their fourth term in Accra, students will design and test social innovation initiatives with real-world impact. With this arrangement, Academic City has become a member of Tetr’s international network, which includes leading institutions such as Cornell University (USA), NUS Singapore and IIT Delhi.
Speaking on the programme, Dr. Lucy Agyepong, Vice President for Institutional Advancement at Academic City, said hosting the Tetr students aligns with the university’s goal of promoting cross-cultural exchange, strengthening global collaboration and enhancing the academic experience for all students.

She noted that the arrival of the Tetr students marks another important step in Academic City’s journey to expand its international presence and position itself as a global destination for quality education in Africa.
According to her, the diverse backgrounds of the students will further enrich the university’s academic environment and encourage knowledge sharing and mutual learning.
Dr. Agyepong expressed Academic City’s commitment to offering the best hospitality and ensuring that the students’ stay on campus is meaningful, engaging and memorable.
