Access Bank Ghana has brought its six-month nationwide savings campaign, Fa Ketewa Bɛgyɛ Kɛseɛ, to a close, marking the end of the promotion with a grand draw at its head office in Accra.

The event capped months of activities aimed at encouraging a consistent savings culture among Ghanaians.

Addressing participants, Edward Nelson-Addy, Head of Corporate Communications at Access Bank, said the bank’s motivation for the promotion was rooted in the belief that even small savings can transform financial outcomes—especially in today’s challenging economic climate.

He noted that customers who made regular deposits, regardless of the amount, played a vital role in sustaining the campaign’s momentum.

The promotion featured four mini draws and a mega draw, all of which rewarded customers who showed discipline in growing their accounts. Nelson-Addy said the initiative evolved beyond a typical banking promo into a support system for many customers managing school fees, rent, and household expenses.

Highlighting the significance of the effort, he said, “Even during demanding times, saving still holds power. And today, we celebrate that power.”

The final draw brought moments of excitement as top winners were unveiled. In the first-tier category, Elizabeth of the Kejetia branch received GHS15,000, while Veronica from Tarkwa secured GHS30,000. The biggest cash prize—GHS50,000—went to Amos of the Legon branch, closing the segment on a high note.

Young savers were also recognised under the Youth Category, which featured tech-related prizes. Ramatu from Legon took home an iPhone 16 Pro Max, Josephine of UPSA won a PlayStation 5, and Bridget received a Chromebook as recognition for their participation and commitment.

According to Nelson-Addy, the prizes served as a token of appreciation for customer loyalty throughout the promo period, adding that the success of the campaign was made possible by the customers themselves.

Officials from the National Lottery Authority (NLA) were present to supervise the draw. Akua Serwaa Adu Darko, who represented the Authority, applauded Access Bank for ensuring transparency and fairness throughout the promotion. She said the initiative had encouraged many Ghanaians to develop a stronger savings habit while providing valuable financial rewards.

She further noted that the NLA's partnership with Access Bank reflected the bank’s professionalism and dedication to customer-focused programs that promote financial empowerment.
