Ghana is preparing to host the Alkebulan Africa Summit, a three-day Pan-African gathering aimed at deepening ties between Africa and its global diaspora through practical investments, innovation and strategic partnerships.

The summit is scheduled to take place in Accra from March 26 to 28, 2026, and is expected to draw participants from across Africa, Europe and the Americas.

Held under the theme *“Uniting the Diaspora to Inspire Change,”* the summit will bring together business leaders, policymakers, investors and creatives to advance concrete solutions for Africa’s economic transformation.

Founded by Ivorian entrepreneur and Pan-African advocate Olivier N’Guessan, the Alkebulan Africa Summit positions itself not merely as a conference but as a results-oriented platform focused on action and influence.

Speaking ahead of the event, N’Guessan said the summit is designed to move beyond rhetoric and translate Africa’s potential into tangible outcomes.

He noted that participants will work collaboratively to design pathways towards a self-reliant and globally competitive continent, anchored by strong diaspora engagement.

The speaker lineup features a diverse mix of international and African leaders spanning innovation, energy, governance, media and business strategy. Confirmed speakers include Geneviève Levellé, Chief Operating Officer of UK-based LiquidAcre; Shakirri Murrain, Director of Innovation Solutions at RICE Atlanta in the United States; Hesta Baker, Chief Executive Officer of Africa Travel in Liberia; and Jéhu Ndoumi, CEO and President of Yunus Group in Cameroon.

Also expected are Naquetta Ricks, a US-based politician and businesswoman; Emma Sharif, Mayor of Compton in California; and Arlene Richards Barr, International Business Director at Atlanta International Airport.

Ghanaian representation will feature prominently, including Kwasi Boatey Boateng, CEO of Webber Energy; Mathias Hommey, CEO of 1-2 M\&M Engineer Ltd; Gideon Aryeequaye, Executive Secretary of the Creative Arts Agency; media executive Bills Gborgli, known as Papa Bills; and Anthony Kingsley Eduam, an executive board member of the summit.

Organisers have highlighted the role played by Gideon Aryeequaye in facilitating engagement with key Ghanaian and international stakeholders, helping to shape the calibre of participants expected at the Accra gathering.

The programme will include high-level discussions on investment, trade, technology and diaspora engagement, alongside curated partnership sessions linking businesses and innovators across borders.

Interactive masterclasses, exhibitions and media roundtables will spotlight African creativity, enterprise and technological advancement, with an emphasis on measurable impact.

Registration for the summit is currently open, with an Individual Pass priced at \$150 and a Corporate Pass at \$250, both offering access to sessions, coffee breaks and lunch. Organisers have encouraged early registration through official channels.

Accra’s selection as host city reflects Ghana’s growing status as a Pan-African hub, bolstered by its hosting of the African Continental Free Trade Area Secretariat and its Beyond the Return initiative.

According to organisers, the summit will prioritise frameworks that channel diaspora capital, skills and networks into Africa’s economic transformation, positioning the Alkebulan Africa Summit as a milestone event in shaping the continent’s future through collective action.
