After an eventful opening two games in the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations, the tournament continues with fixtures from Group B and C.
Senegal will commence their campaign with a game against Zimbabwe at the Kouekong Stadium in Group B’s opening match.
The Teranga Lions are chasing a first AFCON title in their history since making their maiden appearance at the continental showpiece.
Senegal finished second as runners up in 2019, after suffering a 2-0 defeat to Algeria in the last edition in Egypt.
The Warriors have lost their last two games against Senegal in all competitions and they look far from the favourites against Senegal going into Monday’s fixture.
In the second game of the group, Guinea will also engage Malawi, who are making a return to the AFCON tournament after missing the last five editions.
In their previous two appearances in the competition, the Flames have never gone past the group stage and will be hoping 2021 will be the year to break their group stage jinx.
In Group C, Ghana will be playing their 100th game in the continental showpiece, a landmark only matched by Egypt.
While Ghana are seeking to end a 40-year wait for yet another AFCON title, Morocco also hopes their 46 years wait will come to an end in Cameroon.
The pair faces each other in the opening match in Group C, with Comoros and Gabon playing later in the day.
Gabon will be without Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Mario Lemina, who tested positive for Covid-19 upon their arrival in Cameroon.
