Black Stars head coach Chris Hughton is set to be without midfielder Majeed Ashiemru when Ghana face Central African Republic (CAR) next month.
Ghana will host CAR in their final game of the qualifiers for the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations at the Baba Yara Stadium on September 7 needing just a draw to seal a spot for the tournament.
However, ahead of the game, Hughton has been hit with an injury concern with Ashimeru expected to miss the crucial qualifier at home.
The central midfielder picked up an ankle injury during Anderlecht's 0-2 defeat to Royal Union Saint-Gilloise in the opening weekend of the Belgian Jupiler Pro League.
Reports suggest the player, who has missed the last four league games since then, is not expected to be back until at least after the international break.
Hughton will also likely to be without Abdul Samed Salis who also went off injured during Lens lLigue 1 game over the weekend.
