The Chief Executive Officer of Africa World Airlines, Joe Zhou Yingli, has indicated the airline firm’s intention to expand into other African countries.
According to him, the airline has been successful in its 10 years of operation in Ghana and expects to do more in the coming years.
Though it currently flies to Nigeria, as plans are far advanced to expand into other African countries.
He stressed that the airline is on course to securing an Embraer Aircraft with a bigger seating capacity to accommodate increasing demand.
“For the next 10 years, we will expand our operations, we will expand our routes not only in Ghana but also to the surrounding regions”, he mentioned.
“Currently, we are renewing our current fleet for the next five years, while working on a bigger aircraft, the Embraer E-190. This is about doubling the seating capacity of E-145. This means we can double or even triple our current capacity”, he added.
Meanwhile, the Chief Operating Officer, Capt. Kwasi Oteng expressed excitement for the airline’s 10 years journey so far and thanked customers for their continuous support.
He added that Africa World Airline is committed to giving the best of services to Ghana and Africa while upholding the highest safety standards.

“The future is very bright and we’ve been here for 10 years and we hope to be here for tens of years to come. This is our 10th anniversary and we give thanks to our investors, staff and management, and most importantly, our passengers who have stayed with us through thick and thin and continue to travel with us till this day. We are grateful”, he pointed out.
The anniversary was celebrated across the various Africa World Airlines offices in Africa.
Aside routes to Kumasi, Takoradi, Tamale and Wa, Africa World Airlines also flies to Abuja, and Lagos.
