Ghana’s Zinabu Issah captured her second medal at the World Para Athletics (WPA) 2025 Marrakech Grand Prix, claiming silver in the Women’s F57 Shot Put with a throw of 8.54 meters.
She narrowly missed out on gold, which went to a Nigerian competitor who recorded a mark of 8.94 meters.
Issah’s strong showing further cements her reputation as one of Africa’s leading para-athletes in field events.
With this performance, she edges closer to qualifying for the WPA 2025 World Championships and the Glasgow 2026 Commonwealth Games.
To strengthen her qualification bid, Issah plans to compete in upcoming WPA meets, including the WPA Paris 2025 Grand Prix and the All-Women WPA 2025 Grand Prix in the Czech Republic.
