The Executive Director of the Media Foundation for West Africa (MFWA), Sulemana Braimah has described President Akufo-Addo's achievement since assuming office in a seemingly sarcastic manner.
In a tweet on Thursday, Mr Braimah noted that since assuming office, Akufo-Addo's performance has been unprecedented. This he said, highlighting some acts of the President.
"The achievements of President Akufo-Addo are indeed unprecedented. He is the President who has been able to borrow more than any other President since independence. He is also the only President who has been able to import a stone from Jerusalem", he wrote.

In March last year, President Akufo-Addo received from the Israeli Ambassador, Shani Cooper, a stone from the city of Jerusalem, to lay a foundation for the construction of the National Cathedral.
In her presentation, Shani Cooper highlighted the symbolic relevance of the stone; adding that Israel's involvement in the construction of the National Cathedral will deepen the rapport between the two countries.
Mr. Braimah's comments on Twitter come at a time when the conversation about the relevance of the National Cathedral has surfaced again.
In a series of posts and engagements on social media over the last few days, Ghanaians have expressed diverse opinions on the need for a National Cathedral.
While some believe that it is a useful initiative, others have argued that the erection of a National Cathedral should not be national priority.
Meanwhile, President Akufo-Addo has reiterated that the construction of the National Cathedral is a “priority of priorities” for the country.
Delivering a speech at the inaugural Africa Lecture at the Museum of the Bible in Washington, DC, USA, on Thursday, May 5, he stated that God's faith has kept the nation running all this while.
“I am a Christian in politics who is unashamed of asserting my Christian faith as part of my political calling. It is this faith and this belief in God’s power to transform difficult situations into beacons of hope that has animated my vision for moving Ghana to a situation beyond aid and putting the country onto the road of self-reliance and sustained progress and prosperity.
This faith is also the motivation for one of the major projects, which I have described as a priority of priorities, that we are undertaking in the country – the construction of the National Cathedral of Ghana.
The National Cathedral and Bible Museum of Africa are, thus, being developed as Ghana’s gifts to the Christian community worldwide. That is a ‘safe space to organise key national, regional, and global christian activities”, he added.
President Akufo-Addo has also attributed his electoral victory in 2016 and his subsequent re-election in 2020 to the doing of God.
“My experiences have been a testimony, in my view, of God’s love and the vindication of the words of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
“The story of the struggles to become the President of my country alone shows [the scripture] that says, 'With man this is impossible; but with God all things are possible' ”.
