The National Chairman of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Johnson Asiedu Nketia, says his ongoing Thank You Tour is also aimed at gathering feedback from party supporters on how the government has performed in delivering on its campaign promises.
Speaking to party faithful in the Effutu Constituency in the Central Region on Wednesday, February 12, 2026, Mr Nketia said the tour is not only about expressing gratitude but also about assessing the party’s record in government.
“Another reason why I am here is to find out from you how we have fared as a government in respect of the promises we made in our manifesto, so that the relevant authorities can address any concerns,” he said.
According to him, feedback from grassroots supporters is critical to improving governance and strengthening public confidence in the party.
He explained that party leaders must remain connected to the people who worked tirelessly during elections and continue to support the party’s agenda.
Mr Nketia noted that understanding the challenges faced by supporters at the community level would help government officials respond more effectively.
The visit formed part of the NDC’s nationwide Thank You Tour following the 2024 general elections, which saw the party return to power after winning the presidential contest.
The tour is intended to appreciate party supporters, review campaign strategies, and strengthen internal structures across constituencies.
Mr Nketia stressed that fulfilling manifesto promises remains a key responsibility of the party in government, adding that leaders must be held accountable for their commitments.
He said concerns raised during the tour would be forwarded to the appropriate ministries, departments, and agencies for action.
Mr Nketia, however, encouraged supporters to remain hopeful and committed as the party works to consolidate its gains and improve its performance nationwide.
