A leading member of the Friends of Nana Konadu Agyeman-Rawlings (FONKAR) has been invited by the Bureau of National Investigations (BNI) over allegations he made against the first lady Ernestina Naadu Mills.Ernest Owusu-Bempah had, on an Accra based radio station Oman FM, alleged the First Lady had received $5 million from the controversial Woyome money.Government has denied the allegations.In a statement Deputy Information Minister James Agyenim Boateng described the allegations as baseless and without basis.Apparently unimpressed with the allegations, BNI has waded into the controversy seeking to demand answers from the FONKAR member.Owusu Bempah in an interview with Joy News’ Araba Koomson confirmed the BNI invitation and promised to meet them on Wednesday with his team of lawyers.He said he was not told the reason for his invitation and will not hazard a guess.He would rather honour the invitation and disclose to the media the details of his meeting with the BNI.
