Ghana Premier League holders, Medeama SC, are out of the 2023/2024 CAF Champions League.
The Tarkwa based side’s fate was sealed after Tanzanian side, Young Africans defeated Algeria’s CR Belouzidad 4-0 in their group D game.
After defeat to Al Ahly in Kumasi, Medeama were hoping for a draw between Young Africans and Belouzidad to give them a slim chance of making the quarterfinals going into the final group games.
The win for Young Africans now means Medeama mathematically stand no chance of finishing in the top two positions in group D.
Evans Adotey’s side will face CR Belouzidad in Algeria on March 3, in their final group game.
