The National Chief Imam, Sheikh Alhaji Nuhu Osmanu Sharubutu, has offered prayers for the Chief of Staff, Julius Debrah, during this year’s Maulid celebration in Accra.
The gesture came after Mr Debrah donated to support the commemoration. Represented by presidential staffer Asibid Dauda, the Chief of Staff provided bags of rice, cooking oil, bottled water, and an undisclosed amount of money to the Chief Imam’s office.

The items formed part of contributions made towards the 2025 Maulid festivities.
In acknowledging the donation, Sheikh Sharubutu prayed for Mr Debrah’s continued success and good health.
He also invoked divine guidance in his endeavours, noting the significance of generosity and support during such religious occasions.
Maulid is an important celebration for Tijaniyya Muslims and other Islamic groups worldwide, held annually to mark the birth of the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH).
It is observed with prayers, communal gatherings, and charitable giving, reflecting the values of faith and solidarity.
