Chief of Staff, Julius Debrah, has urged both government and the private sector to work in close partnership to strengthen Ghana’s economy, emphasising the need for resilience, long-term thinking, and national impact.
“We must build firms that think not only about immediate margins, but about long-term competitiveness, resiliency, and national impact,” Mr. Debrah said.
Speaking at the Kwahu Business Forum 2026 on Friday, April 3, he stressed that national transformation requires government and enterprise to act as partners rather than adversaries, united in a common mission to create a stronger, more productive, and self-confident economy.
Highlighting the challenges of today’s global environment, he noted that conflict, supply chain disruptions, inflationary pressures, and geopolitical shocks all rapidly affect domestic business conditions.
“The language of enterprise today must also be the language of resiliency,” he explained.
Mr. Debrah called on firms to withstand shocks, adapt quickly, and remain competitive even in difficult circumstances.
Achieving this, he said, requires stronger institutions, better planning, increased local production, deeper supply chains, and a serious commitment to sustainability and good governance.
