Residents of Akumadan in the Offinso North District of the Ashanti region have made a passionate appeal to residents living abroad to invest in developmental projects in the area.
The residents say lack of developmental projects is hampering the town's progress.
They are therefore calling on the assembly and Member of Parliament to come to their aid.
Akomadan is popularly noted for being a tomato production hub in Ghana. Many residents here have taken that as a source of livelihood.
But some concerned youth in the area say they want to enhance quality education and improve healthcare delivery.
They want to construct a community library facility, purchase power plant and hospital beds to improve the healthcare delivery system.

They are therefore calling on residents living abroad to support.
Chairman of the Concerned Youth, Akwasi Agyei Friter, says, "we don't have a community library and our health facility doesn't have generator. So when the power goes they can't work effectively."
Letters have been written to political leaders in the district to solicit support to address the challenge.
"We are appealing to them because to buy a plant isn't easy," says the general secretary of the group, Obeng Eric.
The youth have also launched their Homecoming event scheduled for December 24th to 28th 2021 in Akomadan.
Proceeding the main event include; interschool’s quiz competition, clean-up exercises, health screening, donation to the community, games and more.
Part of the activities would also be a fundraising scheme to pull financial resources in executing their planned agenda.
