President Mahama says government is introducing some reforms that will halt delays in the release of salaries to newly trained teachers in the country.
Some of the teachers have not been paid for the past 18 months a situation that has led to some agitation in the recent past.
President Mahama admits it is an institutional problem which some reforms at the finance ministry should soon address.
The President was answering questions from some school children from across the country at a party organized for them at the Castle gardens in Osu.
"I know there are some institutional problems that make this the case...The institutional structure is not the best and we need to reform it,
He said the automation at the Finance Ministry will help solve the problem.
The President also touched on why budgetary allocation to special schools in the country keeps delaying.
It is the budgeting processing that has made it difficult for these releases to be done on time.
He said the major reforms being done will take care of all the challenges.
