Actor Eddie Nartey's wife of two years, Vida Obenewah Nartey, has passed away.
Mr Nartey confirmed the news of his wife's demise on Instagram to his fans and followers.
The actor stated he is yet to come to terms with his wife's death adding he is in "constant pain".
"I don’t know what to say, I don’t know what to feel. I’m just in constant pain. Rest well my Habibi. God knows Best. I pray for strength!" He captioned a picture of himself and his wife.
His friends and celebrities who are shocked by the news have been consoling the actor.
Actress Gloria Sarfo who had seen Eddie Nartey about a week ago at an audition prayed God gives him the strength to soldier through.
"Aaaaaaah Awurade Nyame. It is well bro. It is well SoulJa, may God strengthen you," she wrote under his post.
She also took to her platform to console him stating that she is also torn by the news.
"I'm shattered,,I wonder what you're going through🤦♀️🙏😭🙏. Be STRONG my Brother, be STRONG superstar, be STRONG🙏. May the good Lord keep you in His arms and console you Soulja🙏🙏," she wrote.
Actress Selly Gally took to her page to pray for the actor and mourn with him. She tagged the time the couple had together, "a beautiful love story".
She wrote, "Dear Lord, grant my brother strength to go through this very difficult and trying time. Grant their families strength to support each other. Am so sorry for your lose Eddie. This was a beautiful love story. You found such joy with Habibi and it showed all over you. I cry with you soulja. This has just broken me badly today."
TV and radio personality MzGee also took to her Instagram page to urge the bereaved to stay strong.
Bibi Bright, Kafui Danku, Beverly Afaglo, John Dumelo, Nana Ama McBrown, Roselyn Ngissah, Praye Tiatia and others all wrote consolatory messages for the actor.
Eddie and Vida Nartey tied the knot on September 22, 2018. They got married in a private traditional ceremony.
