Some residents of Essam-Debiso in the Western Region on Thursday took to staking lottery with the numbers on the number plate of the running mate of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Professor Naana Jane Opoku-Agyemang.
According to them, they had hit the jackpot in times past when former President John Mahama visits the area so it worth trying their luck with his nominee.
They said the number plate of the NDC flagbearer “works magic in their favour”.
Speaking to Adom TV, one of the residents said, “We are very confident these numbers will win for us some cash, due to precedents. And that’s why we’re all staking the lottery today”.
It was interesting as people have travelled from far in an attempt to catch a glimpse of the said magical SUV so they take the number themselves.
The former Education Minister rode in a silver Toyota Land Cruiser with number plate GG 9070 – 18 to the area as part of her three-day campaign tour of the Western Region.
