In a chilling exposé that has sent shockwaves through the trading community, prominent businesswoman Ama Born Again has pulled back the veil on what she describes as the "dangerous and unseen forces" governing Ghana’s markets.

Speaking on Asempa FM’s popular programme 'Y'ASETENAM', she warned that the daily hustle for profit is often a front for intense spiritual battles where survival depends on more than mere hard work.

Ama Born Again, who has now embraced Christianity, confessed to a dark past where she relied on fetish priests and powerful charms to protect her enterprise and outmanoeuvre her competitors.

"You don’t go there without protection," she cautioned, painting a picture of a marketplace teeming with black magic and spiritual hostility.

Rituals of the trade: Bathing for profit and 'waist protection'

During her years in the spiritual trenches, Ama Born Again admitted to following strict, often bizarre protocols to ensure her business thrived. These rituals, she claims, are common practice among "aggressive and desperate" traders across the country.

The spiritual toolkit of the marketplace includes:

• Medicinal Baths: Used for the dual purpose of shielding the trader from "evil eyes" and casting a spell to attract unsuspecting customers.
• Waist Charms: Sacred items tied around the waist or hidden within money pouches to safeguard daily earnings from spiritual theft.
• Midnight Sacrifices: Rituals performed at the cemetery or shrines in the dead of night to secure a "competitive edge" before the market opens at dawn.

"Everyone wants more money, and because of that, everyone uses different spiritual ways to sell their goods. If you don’t take care, you could be killed," she remarked, highlighting the life-and-death nature of this occult competition.

The ghost in the stall: When traders are not who they seem

Perhaps the most unsettling of her claims is that many participants in the market—both buyers and sellers—are not flesh-and-blood humans.

She alleged that the busy aisles of the market are frequented by ghosts from the cemetery, spirits, and animals that have assumed human form to conduct business.

“You can see someone selling tomatoes and think you know them, but they are not human. Some traders are ghosts from the cemetery, spirits, or animals that have taken human form to come and sell,” she asserted.

Redemption after the 'dark reset'

Ama Born Again’s descent into the world of juju was not solely driven by greed but by a "bitter heart". She revealed that although she had initially been a member of a church, the perceived mistreatment and judgement she received from the congregation pushed her into a state of revenge.

This pain led her deeper into the occult until her recent conversion.

“I was born again at the time, but the way the church treated her pushed her into bitterness and revenge. That pain led her deeper into juju. Now, she is asking God to forgive her. God alone saved me from a life ruled by fear,” she concluded.

The businesswoman has issued a formal apology to anyone harmed by her past actions, urging current traders to abandon the "dangerous path" of spiritual warfare in favour of ethical business practices and divine protection.
