Three African countries will play in the FIFA U20 World Cup Round of 16.

Tunisia and Nigeria booked knockout round slots after qualifying as the best third-place teams.

Tunisia finished behind England and Uruguay in Group E, after beating Iraq and losing to the Group's top two.

Meanwhile, Nigeria lost only one game - to Brazil - in Group D, but still finished behind the South Americans and Italy on goal difference.

All three teams finished on six points.

Gambia, unbeaten, enter the knockout round as one of the best teams in the tournament. They finished ahead of France and South Korea in Group F.

They were 2-1 winners over Honduras in the opening game, earned another 2-1 win - this time over France, before a goalless draw with South Korea.

Gambia's impressive run will see them match up with Uruguay, who beat Tunisia during the group stage.

Tunisia themselves face off with Brazil, who were 2-0 winners over Nigeria.

The Flying Eagles come up against hosts Argentina, coached by Javier Mascherano. Nigeria will be looking to win the tournament for a first time.
