The Ghana National Fire Service (GNFS) has begun investigations into circumstances which caused the fire that gutted the workshop of the Kingdom Furniture Company at Kotobabi on the Spintex road.
The fire, which started at about 5:30 p.m. Thursday destroyed the workshop of the furniture company as well as some houses close by.
The burnt workshop housed several furniture products which are supposed to be distributed to its branches across the country.

The aluminium roofing sheets of the workshop also caved in as a result of the inferno.
Several houses close by caught fire in the process resulting in the mass destruction of properties.

The Fire Service is yet to determine the cause of the fire, however, some officials say they will be looking into the incident and will establish it after investigations are complete.
On the brighter side, four expatriates who were inside the workshop working at the start of the fire escaped unhurt.
So far no report of casualty has been recorded.
