Florida has reported 191 coronavirus-related deaths in the past 24 hours, the highest single-day rise since the start of the epidemic, the state health department has said.
Florida's total death toll has now surpassed 6,000. The US' third most populous state is now second only to California in total number of COVID-19 cases with 441,997, an increase of 9,230 from the day before.
