A former presiding bishop of the Methodist Church of Ghana has died.
Most Rev Dr Samuel Asante-Antwi passed away on Sunday morning at the Korle-Bu Teaching Hospital.
Though he had been ill for some time now, the cause of his death is yet be made public.
Rev. Antwi-Asante served as the 9th president of the Conference of Methodist Church of Ghana in 1997.
He also served as the chair of the Disciplinary Committee for the New Patriotic Party in 2015.
He was also the Chairperson of the Board of Trustees of the National Cathedral, however, sources close to him reported his demise on Sunday.
