The initiator of the controversial leadership award scheme, titled Global Blueprint Excellence Award has debunked allegations that the award scheme is a scam.
This comes after Kwame Owusu Fordjour was accused of using the United Nations and a former UN General Secretary, Kofi Annan’s name to make the award scheme appear credible.
However, in an interview with JoyNews on Friday, he insisted that the award is credible since he is an advocate of development and excellent leadership.
“I am surprised because this is an open thing that we just held. If anybody has a problem with me or our institution, they should have contacted us for clarification.
“I have always been an advocate for development, excellence and in honouring others and attaching ourselves to global icons and leadership we bring them out,” he stated.

Meanwhile, social media have been buzzing with memes and comments about musicians, journalists and high personality profiles who received the award that they describe as a ‘monumental scam’.
The Global Blueprint Excellence Award was held last week Friday, August 28, in Accra at the Alisa Hotel and was attended by a host of Ghanaian personalities and celebrities including Sarkodie, D-Black, Nathaniel Attoh, Daughters of Glorious Jesus, Natalie Fort and many others.

Dr UN used our obsession with recognition to scam our celebrities. Instead of doing it for fame and recognition, we need to learn to enjoy what we do. Way too much unnecessary competition in the system. Its easy to take advantage of that. Its funny though 😂😂 pic.twitter.com/MB3nmyMq1Y
