The shooting, which occurred on April 29, 2025, stemmed from a violent confrontation between two groups allegedly disputing over sand winning operations in the area. The clash tragically resulted in the death of five individuals.
The police, in a statement, indicated that the suspects appeared before the Osino District Court on May 2. Samuel Atsu Forson, Freeheart Kweku Sedonu, and Kwesi Prince were remanded into prison custody, while Benjamin Adzalekor was remanded into police custody. All four are scheduled to return to court on May 8, 2025.
The police assured the public of a thorough investigation and reaffirmed their commitment to ensuring that justice is served.
“The suspects will be taken through the due process of the law,” the statement emphasised.
