Chiefs, queens and people of the Gbi Traditional Area in the Hohoe Municipality have commended President Nana Akufo-Addo and the Energy Minister, John Peter Amewu for the massive development brought to the municipality since the NPP took over office.

At a press conference led by Divisional Chief of Gbi Abansi, Torgbui Adzimah V, stated that the President's promise to the late Torgbegah Gabusu to construct the Hohoe trunk road and the Hohoe township roads have been fulfilled by the President.
"The President, in the company of the John Peter Amewu who is also the parliamentary candidate for Hohoe, paid a visit to the palace of the late Torgbegah Gabusu when his demise was announced,” he said.
He has said that the various projects and the pace they were being delivered was unprecedented in Hohoe and its surrounding communities.
According to him, the President and the minister lamented on the inability to fulfil his promise to Togbegah Gabusu when he was alive.
"We all heard how his Excellency, the president eulogized Togbegah and the cordial relationship that existed between them and so lamented over his inability to fix the main Hohoe Trunk and township roads, he promised Togbegah Gabusu when he visited him before his demise," he stated at the event.
Meanwhile, he said the chiefs and the people are happy especially when the 10 kilometer township roads promised has been extended to 15 kilometers by the President through the Energy Minister, John Peter Amewu.
“The chiefs and people of Hohoe cannot thank the Government enough for all the many projects they have brought to the municipality just within four years," Togbe Adzimah praised.

Togbe Keh XII noted that after many years of petitioning, the tireless efforts of Mr Amewu towards the implementation of the development projects cannot be understated.
"We acknowledge his tireless efforts to bring to fruition all these development projects that the people of Gbi and the entire Hohoe Municipality have been promised and left unfulfilled for several years including the electrification projects, the Hohoe-Fodome road, the stadium projects and many more," Togbe Keh XII noted.
Togbe Keh further stated that it was prudent and necessary for the president and the energy minister to be commended adding the Chiefs and people of Hohoe would praise any government that is able to fulfil promises made to the municipality.
"Any nation that does not celebrate its heroes is not worth dying for. We are not being partisan but we are just commending government and our son for fulfilling promises made during the campaign period, something we have been praying for all these years" he noted.
Some of the projects undertaken by government are the Hohoe Abansi, Kpeme, other tarred and asphalt roads as well as the stadium, construction of some classroom blocks, and markets.
