The Ghana Education Trust Fund (GETFund) has issued a strong warning to the public over the circulation of fake recruitment and contract advertisements on social media, describing them as “cleverly designed” scams targeting unsuspecting individuals.
In a statement released by management, GETFund made it clear that it does not solicit contractors, suppliers, or employees through unofficial channels, particularly on social media platforms.
“These adverts are deceitful and fraudulent. They are clearly designed to trick people into parting with their money,” the Fund cautioned.
The management urged the public to be vigilant and to verify any such advertisements only through GETFund’s official website or verified social media handles.
“Please, always verify such information… Respectfully, do not be tricked by these falsities,” the statement emphasised.
The Fund further advised that any suspicious adverts or solicitations should be reported immediately to the nearest police station or the GETFund Secretariat at East Legon, opposite Trinity Theological Seminary in Accra.
GETFund reaffirmed its commitment to transparency and accountability, noting that it has operated with strong corporate governance structures since its inception.
“The public is urged to stay alert and help protect the integrity of institutions by reporting these criminal activities,” the statement concluded.
