A Managing Trustee of the Ghana Covid-19 Private Sector Fund has lauded the Ghana Armed Forces (GAF) for its immense support to the construction of the COVID-19 Infectious Disease and Isolation Centre.
Senyo Hosi said, “The Ghana Armed Forces has been the driving force to the success we’ve achieved so far on this project.”
He made the remark when the Chief of Defence Staff (CDS), Lieutenant General Obed Boamah, and top officers of the Ghana Armed Forces toured the project site to assess the progress of work.

“The Armed Forces since the commencement of the project few weeks ago has been providing engineering, logistical and security support, among others to the project.”
He added that “the Private Sector Fund and Ghanaians as a whole are deeply grateful to the GAF for this invaluable support.”
The Chief of Defence Staff who was briefed on the progress of work so far assured the project sponsors of his continuous support to ensure that the project is completed on time.
He said, “this project is receiving very good attention at the highest level and we are looking forward to the completion date.”

Lieutenant General Boamah thanked the Ghana Covid-19 Private Sector Fund for utilizing the expertise of the Ghana Armed Forces by bringing them on board the historic building of the first Infectious Disease Isolation and Treatment Centre in the country.
The Ghana Covid-19 Private Sector Fund was established by 10 private business entities to raise ¢100 million to complement government’s efforts to combat the spread of the coronavirus in the country.
The 10 trustees have each donated ¢100,000 into the Fund, with the promise of raising more from their networks and the general public.
