Ghana international, Andre Ayew has reiterated his side is raring to go as they prepare for their first assignment of the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations despite lacking the needed experience.
Ghana will go into the tournament in Cameroon with 50 per cent debutants as compared to previous years where they have had lesser than that number.
But the captain of the side, Ayew believes the team is ready for the tournament even with a lot of inexperienced players in the squad.
"My teammates are guys which have great talents. Some may be young but the talent they have is top-notch, so we are just there to help. First of all, we are there to do our job. We have to create the example to the others on and off the pitch," he said during the presser ahead of Ghana's opening game.
"We try to let them understand what an AFCON means to you individually and as a country. In all, they are aware and they are ready as a team. It is not going to be easy - not just for us, but also for the opponents. We are going to the end and we will see what will come out of it," Ayew concluded.
Ghana will play Morocco in their first game of the tournament on Monday, January 10.
