After news broke that the Ghana Revenue Authority Head Office Annex was up in flames, Ghanaians have been expressing their concerns on various social platforms.
Many people showed concern for workers of GRA who were in the office when the fire hit, as well as passers-by who may have possibly been affected by the huge smoke emanating from the burning building.
Others were worried that the damage done to the building was extremely huge and may not only stall the operations of GRA but the authority may lose money that may have been stored in the office.
In the midst of anxiety and anguish, rumours began circulating that GRA had lost about GH₵147million in the fire.
However, the GRA boss, Professor Stephen Adei, in a press briefing, debunked the rumours, assuring Ghanaians that the authority is not shaken by the incident.

GRA head office on fire. Look at the humour perspective. Where the old parliament chamber's pic was placed on the new cedi notes but not the GRA office. So because of jealousy it has committed suicide🚶”♂ï¸ðŸš¶”♂ï¸ðŸš¶”♂ï¸ðŸš¶”♂ï¸ðŸš¶”♂ï¸
