Volta Regional Minister James Gunu has assured the Volta Regional House of Chiefs of his readiness to collaborate with them, recognising chiefs and queen mothers as pivotal development agents.
He emphasised that his administration would prioritise their engagement to foster the region's rapid socio-economic growth.
During a meeting in Ho, Mr. Gunu called for unity among the chiefs and people of the region, expressing his commitment to listening to and learning from their experiences and concerns.
He addressed the urgent water crisis affecting the region, reaffirming the government's dedication to resolving this pressing issue.

Additionally, he highlighted the administration's focus on implementing sustainable development initiatives to benefit local communities.
The chiefs voiced concerns regarding the region's developmental deficits, including unapproved barriers, instances of military intimidation, and the lack of developmental projects, as well as numerous abandoned initiatives throughout the region.

Mr. Gunu also expressed concerns about recent attacks on former President Jerry John Rawlings in Parliament and criticised attempts by certain individuals to undermine the appointment of Dr. Johnson Esiama as the Governor of the Central Bank.https://brixtonwintercarnival.com/media/
