AZ Alkmaar kept their unbeaten run to the 2024/25 Eredivisie season alive thanks to Ibrahim Sadiq's two goals over the weekend.
The former Ghana youth international scored twice in the club's victory over PEC Zwolle on matchday six of the Dutch top flight.
Sadiq was handed his sixth consecutive start of the season having impressed during preparation ahead of the new campaign.
The Ghanaian wasted no time in making his presence felt as he scored six minutes into the fixture to give AZ the lead.
Ruben van Bommel picked out the run from the right winger and found him in the box before Sadiq powered a left-footed shot into the top left corner to open the scoring.
Last season Ibrahim Sadiq scored just 2 league goals in 16 appearances.

AZ went into the break with the one-goal lead but it didn't take long to double their lead after the recess.
Sadiq had the ball from outside the penalty box and struck it into the high centre of the goal to double AZ's lead.
Zwolle would go on to reduce the deficit through Dylan Vente but that was all the home side could manage as the game ended 2-1.
With his two goals on Friday, Sadiq has now been directly involved in seven goals in sox games in the league this season; scoring four and assisting three.
