President of the Ghana Football Association (GFA), Kurt Okraku, has urged George Afriyie to behave because he has a role to play in the development of football in the country.
He also added that he will reach out to the former GFA Veep and bring him 'home' because the football family is one.
Okraku was re-elected president of the GFA for a second term on Thursday morning at the Global Dream Hotel in Tamale,
Afriyie, who was the only candidate to file to rival him for the position, was disqualified by the GFA Elections Committee, with Okraku going unopposed in the election.
Speaking after his re-election, the incumbent GFA President said he would reach out to George and bring him back ‘home’.
“The football pitch is very big and everybody, including my brother George [Afriyie], has a role to play. I will reach out to George and bring him back home,” Kurt told the delegates.
Before adding, “So, George, wherever you are, we are one. My message to you is, behave.”
The GFA proceeded with its Elective Congress amid notices of injunctions from disqualified George Afriyie and King Faisal.
Afriyie revealed earlier before the election that he is going to seek redress at the Court of Arbitration for Sport because his human rights were violated by the GFA Elections Committee and the Appeals Committee.
