Japan Motors Trading Company Ltd. (JMTC) has once again demonstrated excellence on the global stage after being honoured with the Outstanding Distributor Performance Award at the Foton Global Conference 2026, held in Beijing, China.
The award reaffirms Japan Motors’ consistent leadership, exceptional market performance, and unwavering commitment to delivering world-class automotive solutions in Ghana and across the region.
The Foton Global Conference brought together Foton’s top distributors, partners, and industry leaders, over 2000 participants from across the world, to celebrate innovation, growth and strategic achievements within the Foton brand network.
Japan Motors was recognised for its remarkable sales growth, customer-centric service delivery, and strong after-sales support systems as the key pillars that continue to drive the company's success.
Representing Japan Motors at the conference was Mr Salem Kalmoni, Managing Director of Japan Motors, Mr. Amine Kabbara, General Manager, Sales & Marketing, and few Foton fleet customers from Ghana.
Mr Kalmoni, who received the award on behalf of the company, expressed gratitude to Foton Global for the recognition and reaffirmed Japan Motors’ commitment to excellence.
The achievement strengthens Japan Motors’ long-standing relationship with Foton, a partnership that has supported the introduction of durable, efficient and competitively priced commercial vehicles for businesses across Ghana.
Japan Motors continues to expand its footprint and improve its service infrastructure to better meet the evolving needs of customers in the transportation, logistics, and construction sectors.
Among such investments to drive the expansion was the recent commissioning of a brand-new, ultra-modern showroom for its Foton vehicle range in Tema, marking a significant step forward in the company’s mission to boost the commercial vehicle sector and support Ghana’s industrial growth.
The new facility, located strategically near the Tema Roundabout, is designed to enhance sales and after-sales support for both heavy-duty and light-duty Foton trucks, a brand exclusively distributed by Japan Motors.
This latest award adds to Japan Motors’ growing list of accolades, positioning the company as one of the leading automotive distributors in West Africa.
