Joy Business; Joy Business Editor, Charles Nixon Yeboah and the host of Drive Time on Joy FM, Louis Kwame Sakyiamah, popularly known as Lexis Bills, host of Drive Time, over the weekend received recognition from the American Chamber of Commerce Ghana (AmCham).
They were particularly recognised for their immense contribution and hard work in the organisation and promotion of the 2023 US Business Expo held in August 2023.
The maiden U.S. – Ghana Business Expo held under the theme; “Leveraging U.S. – Ghana Trade Relation for Growth and Prosperity” provided an overview of the current trade relations between the United States of America and Ghana, highlighting success stories, identifying potential areas of growth, and outlining strategies for fostering further collaboration with integrated business-to-business meetings between Ghanaian and U.S. companies.
The expo brought in a trade delegation from the US that comprised of 19 companies and six trade associations. They included the National Black Chamber of Commerce, the National Business League, U.S. Black Chambers Inc., Dallas Black Chamber of Commerce, the National Center for American Indian Enterprise Development and the Organisation for Women in International Trade. The GDEI delegation represented diverse communities and industries from across the United States with a focus on the information and communications technology, consumer goods, and automotive sectors.
The Expo trade pavilion featured more than 40 companies, showcasing visiting U.S. companies and trade associations, American Chamber of Commerce member companies, and local companies from various industries.
The Joy Business brand has over the years empowered, shaped, and repositioned many brands, particularly, Micro, Small and Medium Scale Enterprises to expand their operations and contribute to the Gross Domestic Product growth of the country.
For instance, the Joy Business Van was designed to offer Ghanaian businesses, especially small and medium-scale enterprises and start-ups, the needed visibility, highlight their issues, access potential markets and receive support. Over 300 businesses have featured on the programme, so far.

Other award winners were Delta Airlines, Cargill, Kosmos Energy.
They were recognised as outstanding US businesses in Ghana in 2023.
All the outgoing AmCham Ghana Executives led by its President Ayesha Bedwei Ibe received awards.
Dodo Seidu, Johnnie Hughes, Alfred Nartey, Graphic Business, TV3 and PwC were also rewarded for their continuous support of the growth of US businesses in Ghana.
