Kate Middleton's younger brother James Middleton shared an update on her cancer journey, saying that the Princess of Wales has been doing "OK" since completing chemotherapy earlier this month.
James Middleton is confident his older sister is getting the best care.
The 37-year-old gave an update on Kate Middleton's cancer journey, saying that she's doing "OK" since completing her chemotherapy treatment earlier this month.
"It's not for me to share on her behalf on how everything is going," James said during a Sept. 26 appearance on Today, "but she's getting all the right support and focus that she needs."
And while Kate—who announced her cancer diagnosis in March— is certainly on the mend, he emphasized that her battle wasn't over just yet. As James put it, "Like anything, it takes time to process."
Of course, James' support of Kate's wellness goes both ways. In fact, the entrepreneur revealed that his sister and brother-in-law Prince William have been crucial resources for him in the past, when he's struggled with clinical depression.
"Catherine and William had both been involved in mental health charities and works of which I got help from," James explained. "So, they were a fantastic bridge for the family for me to be able to translate how I was feeling."
This isn't the first time James—who shares a 11-month-old son with wife Alizee Thevenet—has spoken out about Kate's cancer treatment. Back in March, the Meet Ella: The Dog Who Saved My Life author offered a heartwarming message for his sibling following her diagnosis announcement.
"Over the years, we have climbed many mountains together," James wrote on Instagram at the time. "As a family, we will climb this one with you too."
And as for Kate—who made her first public appearance since completing her chemotherapy by attending a church service in Scotland earlier this month—the 42-year-old has already turned her attention to the next mountain she'll need to climb.
"Doing what I can to stay cancer free is now my focus," the Princess of Wales—who is mom to kids Prince George, 11, Princess Charlotte, 9, and Prince Louis, 6, with William—shared in a Sept. 9 video message. "Although I have finished chemotherapy, my path to healing and full recovery is long and I must continue to take each day as it comes."
Kate Middleton Completes Chemotherapy
On Sept. 9, the Princess of Wales shared that she had completed chemotherapy after being diagnose with an unspecified form of cancer earlier this year.
"The cancer journey is complex, scary and unpredictable for everyone, especially those closest to you," she said in a video statement. "With humility, it also brings you face to face with your own vulnerabilities in a way you have never considered before, and with that, a new perspective on everything."
The royal added, "Although I have finished chemotherapy, my path to healing and full recovery is long and I must continue to take each day as it comes. I am however looking forward to being back at work and undertaking a few more public engagements in the coming months when I can."
