The driver of a VIP bus whose vehicle was attacked by highway robbers on the Kumasi-Accra road on Sunday dawn has been giving chilling accounts of how events unfolded that day.
The driver identified as Owusu and passengers onboard narrowly missed the bullets that penetrated the bus.
However, he told Luv News, passengers onboard other vehicles that were attacked just after the Linda Dor rest stop sustained severe gunshot wounds.
He has been sharing his account of the incident with David Akuetteh on 'Luv in the morning'.
According to him, the absence of police checkpoints that fateful day was what nearly killed them.
Even though long journey buses normally have police escorts onboard, Owusu said their bus did not have any that day.
He commended the swift response of the military to check the situation.
