President John Mahama will today, January 7, commemorate one year in office with a non-denominational thanksgiving service at the forecourt of the Jubilee House in Accra.
The service, scheduled for 8:00 a.m., will draw religious leaders, senior government officials, members of the diplomatic corps, and invited guests to reflect on the Mahama administration’s first year in power.
Held under the theme “Resetting. Rebuilding. Renewing.”, the ceremony is aimed at expressing gratitude for the country’s stability over the past year while reaffirming the government’s pledge to national renewal and inclusive governance.
The thanksgiving forms part of activities marking President Mahama’s first anniversary in office and signals a moment of reflection, unity, and recommitment as the administration enters its second year.
