A man has reportedly committed suicide at the GHACEM depot in the Upper West Regional Capital, Wa.
Hassan Abdul Kadir based in Takoradi was reported to have delivered some consignment at the Ghacem depot in Wa where the incident occurred.
He was found dead Wednesday with a blue rope tied to his neck at the back of a trailer .
His father Abubakar Hassan told Joy News’ Rafiq Salam he was shocked after his colleague drivers informed him that his son had committed suicide.
“They called me to come see something and I came, saw him at the back of the trailer with a rope on his neck. I just don’t know what to say, except to give it to Allah”, he said.
According to him, the deceased came to him Tuesday night to ask for money to buy some clothes but he refused to loan him the money because he suspected he was going to use it to buy cigarette and alcohol.

Mr Hassan said his refusal did not sit well with his son. He engaged him in a heated argument but left later, only for him to find that he had committed suicide this morning.
The case was reported to the Wa police who quickly visited the scene of the incident to convey the body to the Wa Regional Hospital.
The body is currently at the hospital’s morgue pending autopsy.
