A 43-year-old farmer is alleged to have shot his friend to death at Tepa-Mabang in the Ahafo Ano North Municipality of the Ashanti Region.

The shooting occurred when Akwasi Noshi suspected that the deceased Yaw Saahene, 35, also known as Buffalo was having an affair with his wife, Abena.

Narrating the incident to JoyNews, Abena said her husband returned to the house in the evening very furious and started arguing with her for alleged unfaithfulness with his friend, Saahene.

After a heated argument in the presence of all their children, Abena said her husband [Akwasi Noshi] sent for Buffalo to have a conversation with him.

However, the suspect shot the deceased upon arrival at their house, without asking for clarifications, Abena added.

“He sent for the deceased, and upon his arrival, Buffalo asked ‘what is the problem?’, before I realised Noshi shot him in the lower abdomen,” she bewailed.

“After he shot Buffalo, he turned to the children, warned them to be quiet else he will shoot them, although the kids kept begging him,” she wailed.

She added that in the wake of the children pleading with their father, one of the children signalled her to run from the house.

Although she was underdressed, she said that her husband chased after her till she got to the houses where she was able to call people to come to her aid.

The suspect’s wife, however, did not confirm if she was indeed in a relationship with the deceased.

Meanwhile, the body of the deceased has been deposited at the Tepa Government Hospital morgue.

The suspect is currently on the run.
