Majority leader in Parliament, Osei Kyei Mensah Bonsu, is urging all political parties to stop pointing accusing fingers at each other over the murder of the Mfantseman MP, Ekow Quansah Hayford.
According to him, all investigations concerning the matter should be left in the hands of the Police.
Speaking to the bereaved family in the Western Region on Monday, October 12, 2020, he advised non-security professionals to desists from making claims over the murder and allow the police the latitude to conduct proper investigations into the matter.
“When there are too many accusations, it tends to distort police investigations. They should be left to autonomously handle the issue in such a way that can unearth its full details” he said.
Mr. Quansah Hayford was shot by persons believed to be highway robbers in the early hours of October 9, on the Abeadze Dominase – Abeadze Duadzi – Mankessim Road on his return from a campaign trip.
Meanwhile, President Akufo-Addo has charged the Inspector General of Police (IGP), James Oppong-Boanuh to ensure that the killers of Ekow Quansah Hayford are apprehended and brought to book.
