The Ministry of Information has held the Northern Regional Townhall Meeting to exhibit the government’s projects and activities over the years.
The event saw all the Metropolitan, Municipal and District Assemblies (MMDAs) in the region showcasing interventions they implemented to better the lot of the people.
Madam Fatimatu Abubakar, Minister for Information, speaking during the event in Tamale said it was to ensure open interaction and accountability to the people.
She said the milestones chalked by the various MMDAs exhibited during the event underscored the government’s dedication to enhancing the lives of the citizenry.
She said the government had been outstanding in most sectors including road infrastructure, agriculture, education, and health amongst others.
Shani Alhassan Saibu, Northern Regional Minister said the region recorded significant achievements in physical infrastructure and human resource development over the past seven and a half years.
He said such accomplishment had improved the lives of the people and solidified President Nana Akufo-Addo’s vision for the nation to transform the country.
