Mr Drew has released his latest and first single of 2023 titled 'Tomorrow'.
The song talks about how everyone faces problems but shouldn’t burden themselves with solving them all. Sometimes finding the strength to move on and focusing on finding happiness should be the goal as Life is indeed short.
The record was produced by MOG Beatz; the current and 3-time VGMA Producer of the Year.
It is a fusion of Amapiano and Afrobeats to create a feel-good upbeat sound to convey the perfect mood for the message the song carries.
Talking about what inspired the creation of the song, Mr Drew said, “The last days of 2022 and the beginning of 2023 were quite hectic and stressful for me because of certain career advancement decisions I had to take.
"It was unexpected and sudden so it took a toll on me. Then I had an epiphany that changed my outlook to life and how to deal with the problems that weigh me down.”
With ‘Tomorrow’, Mr Drew has once again shown his mastery of the craft as he showcases his creative ability to effortlessly blend contemporary genres from across the continent.
The encouraging lyrics and how he seamlessly blends English, pidgin and Twi and the smooth delivery with his silky voice, help you feel relaxed to be able to take in the mood and message being conveyed.
The song is Mr Drew’s first single as an Independent Artiste.
