The maiden Gomoa Easter Festival continues to dazzle at the Gomoa Ekwamkrom Community Park, now in its second day of celebrations.
The festival kicked off yesterday, Thursday, April 2, with a spectacular bonfire night, drawing hundreds of participants who carried flaming sticks across the park in a mesmerising display.
Attendees described it as a “sight to behold,” setting a dramatic and energetic tone for the rest of the festival.
Today, more fun is expected as the festival has shifted to music, sports, and culture, keeping the energy alive.
Live performances by top Ghanaian artists, including Kofi Nti, Samini, KK Fosu, Ofori Amponsah, Bless, Biss, Kwanpa, and Dada Hafco, have the park pulsating with rhythm as fans are expected to dance late into the evening.
Beyond the music, the festival has prioritised community engagement. A health screening session and a lively tennis tournament drew local sports enthusiasts, while a fashion show highlighted emerging designers, combining contemporary styles with Ghanaian cultural motifs.
Attendees have described the festival as a “perfect mix of culture, music, and community fun,” cementing its reputation as a must-visit Easter celebration.
With the weekend ahead, the Gomoa Easter Festival promises more memorable moments and cultural displays for visitors and locals alike.
