The National Democratic Congress (NDC) has presented some items to head porters popularly known as 'Kayayei' at Old Fadama, in support of the battle against the Covid-19 pandemic in their locality.
The items presented included bottled water, liquid soap, nose masks, food items, hand sanitisers, drinks and Veronica buckets.
Speaking after the donation, the National Chairman, Samuel Ofosu Ampofo told recipients that their work can never be taken for granted and that their needs are a priority for the party.

He also advised them to practice all the precautionary measures preached by the World Health Organisation particularly social distancing.
The MP for the constituency, Nii Lante Vanderpuije, admonished them not to take things for granted and comply with the directives of the public health officials.
The donation followed an earlier one made on behalf of the party on Sunday, March 29, 2020, by the flagbearer, John Dramani Mahama, to the Ridge Hospital.
The former president presented 100 Personal Protective Equipment (PPEs), gloves, masks, coveralls, boots and 400 cartons of water to the frontline health workers.
