The General Secretary of the governing New Patriotic Party (NPP) has lauded the party's ingenuity and thoughtfulness for the initiatives it is yet to unveil in its 2020 manifesto.
John Boadu said the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) is waiting to steal their idea thus its delay to launch its manifesto.
Speaking at the party's 2020 Manifesto launch in Cape Coast, he said, “We are here to witness ladies and gentlemen the unveiling of the government that will see to the consolidation of the gains made in the unprecedented national digitisation agenda of this government.
“The gains made in the provision of the value for money infrastructure for all. The gains made in one district one factory, the gains made in the planting for foods and jobs initiative…it is for this reason there is an overwhelming show of interest of the exercise we are about to undertake today.”
He, however, pointed out that the NDC had failed to launch their manifesto after earlier announcing that it was ready and had submitted it to their party leadership.
“It is worth pointing out that our opponents announced to the world some two or so months ago that their manifesto was ready and they’ve been presented to their party leadership yet they have still not been able to launch it for the people of this country to see what is in it.
“Obviously they are waiting for us to launch our manifesto so they can copy our ideas as usual,” he said.
